Here is a little project we’re working on in the playroom as you come down the stairs. My parents came out to visit and like a kind, sweet daughter, I put my dad to work. My husband, him, and me all helped with this one. Remember these alphabet letters I picked up at a yard sale (.25 for the whole set!) back in Texas?
We just spray painted some very thin trim in my fav Rustoleum Colonial Red and finally got to use my $50 Black Friday nail gun to attach it! We nailed up the trim and then glued the letters to the wall. That door you see is to the playroom closet. Much more on that later….

I’ve still got to come up with something to put between the numbers and letters…we had to leave a space to make the corner work right. Any thoughts??

Here is where the board and batten will go. Thanks to my sweet Dad for putting the chair rail up to get me going:
And we’re off to a start!

What?
You want me to zoom out and show more?
Oh no, you don’t. Really, you don’t.
Really, you do?
Oh, all right. You know I love you if I can show this with no shame:

For what you can see, we went with soft, fluffy carpet that looks like dirt.
Exactly what I ordered. I love it~
