The white board on the left wall was from a yard sale~it was $5 for the board, the markers, and the eraser. Wahoo! I would love to frame it out in chunky red moulding, but that’s so far down on the list, it will probably never happen! We love to use it for phone messages and grocery lists (and to take down to use for playing school)

We found the lantern from Amazon for $35. It’s meant to be outdoor, but I was assured that it’s perfectly safe to bring outdoor fixtures inside. I thought it was a fantastic price + I got to order it in my jammies without having to drag any kids out shopping. Worth every penny.

The BE KIND sign is just another version of the dollar tree one here.

The previous owners’ had painted the garage door hinges white, so I just went with it and spray painted the hinges on the door to the basement white. It doesn’t look bad at all, but I haven’t decided if we should do it in the rest of the house yet. It’s so nice not having to take the whole blasted door down…

I also spray painted the door knobs with primer and oil rubbed bronze. It’s an experiment for the rest of the house, I’ll let you know how they hold up. Have any of you spray painted doorknobs with any luck??

The paint color. I am so sorry to tell you I don’t have a name. It was a mixture of 2 oops paint cans from HDepot, plus some white primer. I’m heading back there this week and I’ll see if they can color match it and get a formula for you.

Here is the cost breakdown:
Whiteboard: $5

Paint, spray paint, & supplies for all projects: $50 (this was more expensive because we just moved and I had to buy everything new. I’ll have them leftover for future projects though..)

Total Cost: $197

Am I leaving anything out? If you have any more questions, feel free to ask in the comments…

Happy Wednesday!
