Oh goodness, this project was appropriately named. I had great intentions: I was going to do a little each day and be done in plenty of time. I put it off, kept putting it off, and I thought, oh, I'll get to them on the weekend. Then, my daughter got sick, my baby got an ear infection, then I got sick, yada, yada, yada, and of course nothing happened. So, I was sweating bullets to get them done for today, I knocked a whole gallon of paint over in the garage in the process. More mis-advetures of Melissa... :)
Here comes my 2 year old...can you see what he's thinking? Remember how he ran over my bathroom cabinets? Don't even think about it little buddy....

But I'm one that needs deadlines to get things done, and of course, I love the feeling when they're finished.
Okay, they're really not that exciting: I used the same color on both~I didn't want cream, didn't want white-white, so I tried out Kimm's favorite Rustoleum Heirloom White (Home Depot) and I love it!

Here they are after:

The builders put these cool little hinged cabinets here and in the bathrooms~they are for a little laundry type chute, but we just use this for a pantry since we don't have lots of storage space in the kitchen.
And here is the cedar chest that needed a makeover:

Sanded all the pen marks and water damaged top, primed it, then spray painted it with the heirloom white, and added simple brushed nickel handles. I took the sander and lightly went over the edges for a little bit of a worn-in look.

Thanks for the challenge, Melissa! Head on over to the Inspired Room to see everyone's after pics!
Happy Thursday, y'all~
